Located in Oregon’s prime south Willamette Valley, our ultra premium, sustainable 70- acre vineyard is one of the oldest vineyards in the state with a reputation for producing world class pinot noir and pinot gris.

As the first solar-powered winery in the south Willamette Valley, we were awarded a “Best Winery Experience” by the readers of the Register Guard Newspaper. Our tasting room is a candle-lit cave offering a personal, one-on-one wine tasting experience, including our famous Pinot Clinic held in the grotto with owners, Robin and Danuta Pfeiffer.

Our exquisite, small lot productions are only available through our tasting room and wine club, and are not distributed to stores or restaurants.

With our impressive selection of wines, there truly is something for every pallet. Come in for one of our tasting flights or a glass of wine and enjoy our beautiful Water Garden.

Come summer we will be having a full blown food kiosk outside (stay tuned) but until then we do have our Tapas and also welcome quests to bring their own picnic foods to enjoy in our tasting room and Water Garden. Whether just a couple or a group of friends, we would love to have you.

Our 2012 Harvest

One word: EPIC! Many in the industry say this is the vintage of the decade and we couldn’t agree more!

The warm summer followed by a warm, dry autumn produced fruit that was a bit lighter in weight but produced deep, intense flavors and rich colors. A taste right out of the fermenting tank made us howl with delight! And although we don’t begin to sell our Futures before Memorial Day of the following year–this year we have been hounded to begin sales now. So if you want the wine that will make you drop to your knees and weep, before anyone else…come by and talk about our Futures program.

In The Works: Our Latest Addition

We have a new addition to the tasting room: a covered patio leading out to the Water Garden. The gorgeous structure with a 20 foot high roof line is over the concrete crush pad outside the tasting room front door. In addition, we will be building an outdoor fireplace under cover, to enjoy those rainy days and stay warm and dry. This is a perfect addition for crushing our grapes out of the rain, and for our summer and off-season events under a comfortable cover.

A Once in a Lifetime Experience

Terroir to Table: A Journey Through Wine Making

We are creating a program that would give you extraordinary access to the vineyard and winery components of making a world-class wine. Learn how to tend the vines, work the harvest, the crush and fermentation all the way to the barrel. The Pfeiffer Philosophy emphasizes the “how” one grows the grapes as the most important element in the making of fine wine. We are now offering you the experience in being involved in the process from bud break to bottling.

Adopt A Row

A plaque with your name will be posted at the end of the row designating you as the caretaker of that row for the entire year.

Work Your Vines

You will be contacted during the growing season with opportunities to come out to the vineyard and learn the viticultural steps to keeping your grapes healthy and sweet. On pre-selected dates you will learn to lift wires, hedge overgrown leaves, count the cluster to leaf ratio, weed, and tie your vines.

Harvest

You will have the opportunity to pick your grapes and participate in the Crush. Learn to work the destemmer, help load the press, and pour the juice into the fermenting tanks. All the hard work culminates with a bountiful harvest dinner.

Make Your Wine

Inoculate the juice with yeast and watch it bubble and froth. Punch down the “cap,” watch the temperature, check on the yeast activity, and prepare the barrels for the fermented wine. Visit your wine during aging, tasting from the barrel as it matures.

Customize Your Label

Create a custom label for your wine. During bottling one year later, you bottle, cap, sleeve and cork your wine, applying your own private label.*
